Codes Delayed
The Washington State Building Code Council took official action to delay the implementation date of the 2024 WA building codes to MAY 3, 2027.
Still to come are public comment periods on the draft updates, currently planned for April. The target date to have the final codes published and adopted will be around August this year. An updated schedule is available on the SBCC website here, and all official updates will be posted to the SBCC website. https://sbcc.wa.gov/
