James Spencer

James is Seattle born and raised and has never felt a compelling reason to leave. As a Seattle local with deep ties to the area, he takes particular pride in Delta E’s dedication to their work on diverse projects directly in the community and region he loves. James started his career in 2015 working for Seattle City Light in their distribution planning team, gaining unique perspectives of electrical infrastructure and building design. Today as an engineer and project manager, James draws on his broad experience in both the public and private sectors, from US navy bases to local affordable housing. James thrives on the collaborative nature and fast-paced environment of the MEP consulting world and strives to find meaningful relationships with diverse team members.

Like any stereotypical PNW native, James enjoys hiking and camping outside of work, as well as distance running. He has a deep and abiding love for live music, hot coffee, and cold beer – especially when shared with friends. He once performed as an opener for then-largely-unknown Seattle rapper Macklemore, but his musical pursuits these days are limited to plunking out tunes on his mandolin.
