Senior Mechanical Engineer
Diana Fisher
Seattle, WA
To Diana, engineering is the creative process applied to the built environment and provides the opportunity to think critically and creatively daily.
For Diana, mechanical engineering is in her DNA. As a third-generation mechanical engineer she has a passion for puzzles and problem solving. Every day is a new opportunity to research, deep dive, and come up with new solutions and ideas. To Diana, engineering is the creative process applied to the built environment and provides the opportunity to think critically and creatively daily.
As a project manager Diana enjoys using her organizational skills to keep projects on track and collaborating smoothly – she loves a list. Project management gives her the opportunity to track and see the project wholistically from start to finish to ensure full interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination.
Diana continues to push for a more inclusive engineering landscape, challenging industry norms and advocating for more accessibility and equity in our fields. She knows that diversity of thought and experience is what propels forward the evolution of innovation and new solutions for the built environment, especially related to sustainable design and combating climate change.
Outside of work Diana continues to dance, taking classes, performing locally, and coaching the next generation of dancers. Most weekends you can find her travelling to see her far away loved ones or at a concert. Having grown up in the PNW, she loves to be outside – especially by a lake, in the shade, with her latest mystery read.
